URBOND Hosts Safeguarding Workshop to Empower Young Voices in Policy Shaping
Young people from across Portsmouth gathered for a powerful workshop on safeguarding, hosted by URBOND’s Youth Ambassadors Programme. The session was led by Lucy and Scott from Portsmouth Safeguarding Children Partnerships.
The workshop focused on how safeguarding practices can be improved in ways that truly reflect the needs and lived experiences of children and young people in the city. Through open discussion and collaboration, participants explored how systems and services can be shaped to better protect and support all young people, particularly those whose voices are often left out.
The session supports one of URBOND’s core objectives of creating youth-friendly, inclusive policies that serve all young people, regardless of background, beliefs, or ideologies.
