The third annual Portsmouth Youth Awards took place last night at the iconic Kings Theatre, uniting hundreds of guests from across the city to celebrate the incredible achievements of Portsmouth’s young people.
The evening honoured a remarkable group of winners whose dedication, creativity and resilience are shaping the future of our community. This year’s award recipients were:
Sulayman Touray, David Burov, Julia Wisniewska, Elijah Maketo, Wesley Lunn, Maya Choudhury, Rayan Atiq, Kamron Cooper, Sunset Drift (Jenelle Chanengeta, Renessa Castillo, Lulu Munamava, Ruth Akinmukomi and Davida Akinmukomi), Manuel Dennis, Daniel Linely, Fatima Ndow, Sam Hibbs, Reggie Lane, Daniel Harrison, Mahmoud Tagal, Wisdom Salami, Dylan Keating, Meghan Albrecht, and Josie Wilson Smith.
From leadership and community action to creative talent and personal achievement, each award highlighted the inspiring contributions of young people across Portsmouth. Their success was celebrated with an audience filled with families, educators, community leaders, and peers.
The night also featured live performances from local young talent Ruth Akinmukomi, Emmanuel, Sunset Drift, and Coast Portsmouth, who brought outstanding energy to the stage.
